This is a Maxim about Leadership and its tedious responsibilities; most people use the above to explain the nature of the pressure leaders face when overwhelmed. It is an acceptable adage today and we often use it to express support for those in leadership when we experience the challenges they face in daily activities.
However, there are many areas of life where we find leaders struggle to succeed, Political, Ecclesiastical, Moral, Financial, Sports and Entertainment etc. The phrase fits them all without any exception, but I will love to share a contrary opinion with respect to spiritual leadership and hope to Inspire you Today.
The verse of scripture below tells us who our Lord is to us today and strengthens my conviction on the fact that ‘Easy Lies The Head That Wears The Crown’ because it is not natural but a spiritual crown that He wears eternally “…And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all” (Eph. 1 v 22-23).
I am confident that the Lord’s Head is not uneasy as He carries the burden of the world and mine. Let me share the areas of my comfort with you with respect to the ‘Leadership’ position of the Lord over my life. Remember what David said concerning the Lord as ‘Our Shepherd…’, therefore we shall not want.
3 AREAS OF LEADERSHIP YOU SHOULD GIVE TO GOD
- The Head of the Church: I am a pastor and always want to be sure that the Lord is the Head Of our church not just in title but in reality. I know the Bible tells us that the Lord is the Head Of The Church (Eph. 1 v 22: 4 v 15 and Col. 1 v 18) but I have seen many ungodly practices in the church that gives me chills and causes me to conclude that many church leaders have driven the Lord out of their services and processes (Rev. 3 v 14-20).
- The Shepherd of my Life: Beyond being the Head of the Church, The Lord is also the Shepherd Of my life personally. I made Him my Lord and Saviour by handing over my life to Him to guide me always (Psalm 23 v 1: John 13 v 13). We should call Him Lord and Master indeed, you should know that He cannot be worried or uneasy as the proverb inferred.
- The Head of my Projects as Cornerstone: Apostle Peter gave us a deep insight into the Leadership role of our Lord as chief cornerstone of the Building the Lord is putting together. Hence we should also make Him the Chief Cornerstone over our Projects / Programs and you can be rest assured that it is going to be well.
I guarantee you that Easy will lie the head that carries your life if you hand over everything to God. It is impossible for Him to be overwhelmed like kings of this world.
